Visited Karnataka, Belgaum and nearby villages on work trip. We toured sari making workers, manual and machine produced। The women I saw were working with the string, either cleaning it, winding it on spools as this women is doing। Men were on the handloom and machines।








For the cultural program, these men were dancing around with their drums। playing to one another, almost competing. I did not get an interpretation of the performance। They were banging these drums using a lot of force, raising the stick high behind their back to strike the drum.
